Workshop and Shop Opening Hours:
So our opening hours may appear a little strange to most, we do work almost non stop most days, however we ask customers to ideally come between the following hours to drop off or collect their bike, or if you’d wanting to have a look around the shop or browse the used bikes and new e bikes and cargo bikes. We are sometimes a little too popular for our own good, and regular visitors in the afternoon distract us from getting our work done. if your unable to drop off or collect at these times due to your own life and work commitments, please just ask its usually no problem!
Our ‘diary’ runs from Thur to Mon, with bikes booked into the diary in advance or on the day if we have space. Ideally please drop your bike for repair or service between the hours below on a Thursday or a Friday, with the aim of getting the bike back to you to collect by end of the day Sunday or Monday. IF we need to order a part that’s not in stock then this can take longer.
Monday 10am – 12pm and 4pm – 6pm
Thursday 10am – 12pm and 4pm – 6pm
Friday 10am – 12pm and 5pm – 6pm
Saturday 10am – 12pm and 5pm – 6pm
Sunday 10am – 12pm and 3pm – 5pm
Our workshop is situated in the West End of Glasgow: Ideally use google maps, waze or your own tuition, apple maps are very out of date in this area and will send you in the wrong direction.
Glasgow Bike Hive
Unit 19 Hayburn Lane
99 – 117 Turnberry Road
We are easily accessible from many areas of Glasgow. National Cycle Route 7, 756 and 754 are less than 1km away (0.5 miles approx), and there are a variety of small streets leading here that have cycle corridor status and or a marked cycle lane. Please use the postcode “G11 5AT” on your navigation app. We have ample cycle/ bike parking here both indoors and outdoors. You are very welcome to bring your bike into the Bike Hive even if just stopping for a look around.
We are just a 3 minute walk (or 1 minute ride!) from Hyndland train station which has very regular trains stopping from all over the Glasgow city area and central Scotland. Follow the signs for the Hyndland exit, and then turn right down Dudley Drive, cross over Clarence Drive onto Dudley Drive, finally turn right on Turnberry Road and you will find the Glasgow Bike Hive.
You might not be able to take a bike on a bus in Glasgow but you can still visit us this way. The number “4” and “4a” First Bus routes stop on Clarence Drive only a 1 minute walk from the Glasgow Bike Hive. Get off at the stop on Clarence Drive outside the Hyndland Cafe and walk south down Dudley Drive, then turn right on Turnberry road and you will find the Glasgow Bike Hive.
We have ample free car parking spaces at the Glasgow Bike Hive. Follow the postcode “G11 5AT” on your sat nav or navigation app.
